The Musical returns just in time for Family Fun this Holiday Season - It’s Chrismouse in South Florida! The Decade-Spanning Refashioning of the “The Nutcracker” will hit the stage on December 13-15 at the Mandelstam Theater.

All hail the Mouse King! Written by Sesame Street veteran Noel MacNeal and award-winning singer and songwriter, Jim Camacho. The beloved decade-spanning holiday musical, “Mouse King,” makes its return to South Florida just in time for this year’s holiday season. “Mouse King” announces its return to the Mandelstam Theater with a thrilling show-run set for December 13-15. “Mouse King,” a whimsical family-friendly musical reimagines the renowned story of “The Nutcracker” as told by the Nutcracker’s adversaries – the mice. Featuring thirteen songs that soundtracked generations of collective yearning including A Case of You, Hallelujah, Big Yellow Taxi, Suzanne and Who By Fire, Both Sides Now examines the messiness of being human and the struggle to stay connected. Starring and written by Frost School of Music alum and award-winning jazz vocalist, Danielle Wertz and rockfolk musician Robbie Schaefer. A Regional Premiere.

Exhibits include Margarette Joyner's costumes merging African textiles with 19th-century portraiture, Imani Warren's Black Beauty as an Act of Resistance honoring African-descended women's beauty rituals and the Sunlight School of Beauty Culture, and A.J. Brown's Double Exposure, blending music and vibrant visual art.
