Business for the Arts of Broward's (BFA) continues its installment of the Arts Mean Business Speaker Series (AMB), featuring the highly acclaimed choreographer, dancer and visionary producer Pablo Malco on Wednesday, September 25 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at General Provision, 300 SW 1st Ave., Suite 155 in Fort Lauderdale.

Join us for an evening with Pablo Malco as he shares his journey, insights and expertise. This event offers a unique opportunity for business professionals and art enthusiasts to explore the intersection of arts and business.

Pablo Malco's journey through the world of dance and entertainment began as a street dancer and evolved into a celebrated career. His passion led him to study jazz in high school and further his training in ballet, acting and movement theory in college. Since stepping onto the professional stage in 1991, Pablo has performed in music videos, commercials, concerts and tours for top brands like Levi's, Coca Cola, Pepsi and Appleton Rum, as well for renowned artists Jason Derulo, Ricky Martin, Will Smith and Lil Wayne. Pablo's influence in the industry is significant. His expertise in choreography has left an indelible mark on commercials, music videos and concerts both nationally and internationally.

His influence extends beyond performing. In 2007, Pablo founded the Developing Dreams Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting urban performing artists. With over 100 shows produced worldwide, Pablo continues to inspire and uplift artists as a choreographer, dancer, published author and producer.

Presented by the Cathy and James Donnelly Charitable Fund at the Community Foundation of Broward and Crown Residential, the Arts Mean Business Speaker Series is free and open to the public. Mixed-media artist Angelica Clyman resides and works in her home city of Hollywood, Florida. Her paintings, sculptures, and prints represent South Florida locations in both past and present. Through her work, she seeks to find a sense of place, history, and understanding in a landscape that is changing quickly. Her work is included in the Miami Children's Museum's permanent collection, and her solo shows include Land of Sunshine (IS Projects) and Beyond Reflection (Art Center/South Florida, now Oolite Arts). She holds degrees from Florida International University (MFA) and the New World School of the Arts (BFA). In addition to serving as the Director for the Rosemary Duffy Larson Gallery at Broward College, Central Campus, Clyman also teaches studio art courses.

New Art Exhibition Spotlights Interdisciplinary Works by Local South Florida artist, Patricia Schnall Gutierrez in a Solo Exhibition at the Burchfield Penney Museum in Buffalo NY.

Buffalo NY, Opening on May 10, 2024, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Patricia Schnall Gutierrez: Remember Me will explore six decades of the multidisciplinary artist's narratives in the Project Space.

Working in sculpture, installation, film, collage, and performance, Patricia Schnall Gutierrez's work interplays between past and present to consider fresh perspectives on the narratives that shape women's lives. Through interrogating her own identities as a woman, artist, mother, and wife, as well as the realities of others in these roles, the exhibition explores the intersections, tension, acceptance, and challenges of these identities and the experiences they entail.

Schnall Gutierrez relocated from the NY metropolitan area to South Florida in 2007. She is a former resident artist of the Bakehouse Art Complex and Fountainhead Studios. She currently has an independent warehouse studio in downtown Hollywood.

The Burchfield Penney Art Center is the museum dedicated to the art and vision of Charles E. Burchfield and the art and artists of Buffalo, NY, and the state region.
