MTT Conducts Beethoven's Pastoral

MTT NWS Co-Founder and Artistic Director Laureate returns to bring the sounds of spring to the New World Center. Beethoven's serene Sixth Symphony is picturesque with blissful-sounding winds and stirring strings. Its gentle score reveals vivid musical inklings of babbling brooks, bird calls, yodeling, shepherd's hymns and spring-time storms. Haydn pays tribute to his friend Mozart with musical easter eggs in his Symphony No. 98.
