The 28th Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival Is In Miami Beach

The 28th Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival comes to Miami Beach starting Friday, Aug. 30 through Saturday, Sept. 7.

The program kicks off with the American premiere of Paulo Machline's "Magal & Magali", followed by a question and answer with the director and the film's producer, Joana Mariani at O Cinema South Beach.

On Saturday, Aug. 31, Fernanda Abreu will rock the Festival audience at the Miami Beach Bandshell with her show "Amor Geral."

On Saturday, Aug. 31, Fernanda Abreu will rock the Festival audience at the Miami Beach Bandshell with her show "Amor Geral."

O Cinema South Beach will be hosting the competitive feature and short film screenings starting Sunday, Sept. 1.

The films will compete for the “Crystal Lens” trophy, which will be awarded to the winners by the audience and the Festival's official jury.

The categories evaluated in the competitive screening will be: Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, and Best Actress.

The audience will serve as the jury for the festival in the categories of Best Feature Film and Best Short Film.

The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, Sept 7 at the Silverspot Cinema. The venue offers an immersive experience with the screening of the Hors Concours film, "Turn It Up, It’s Rock N' Roll," by Tomás Portella.

With the aim of promoting Brazilian cinema to the international market and celebrating the country's diversity and representativeness, the festival will also be hosting online screenings. From Sunday, Sept. 8 to Sunday, Sept. 29, there will be virtual screenings of Brazilian films for all the United States on the streaming platform www.inff.online.
