61 years ago almost to the day, The Beatles performed at the Deauville Hotel in Miami for the"Ed Sullivan Show."
In honor of that historic show, May Pang, John Lennon's former girlfriend during John's 18-month "Lost Weekend." will bring an amazing collection of candid photos of John Lennon to the Miami Fine Art Gallery in Coconut Grove on Friday, February 21 through Sunday, February 23.

"These are our personal photographs and never intended to be displayed in galleries," said Pang. "They sat under my bed for 50 years until I was convinced to share them with the world."
In 1973, John Lennon and Yoko Ono separated for about 18 months. During that time, Lennon began dating their former assistant, May Pang. While many believed this to be an affair, Ono herself actually orchestrated the relationship.

That stretch of Lennon’s life has taken on a mythic stature through the years as the "Lost Weekend," which included two nights reminscent of the modern "The Hangover," where he and drinking buddy Harry Nilsson spent at the Troubadour. They both got ejected from Hollywood Nightclub in 1974.
A documentary about the Pang and Lennon's relationship, which premiered in 2022 at the Tribeca Film Festival, "The Lost Weekend: A Love Story" was directed by Eve Brandstein, Richard Kaufman and Stuart Samuels.

A few highlights of the exhibition at Haven Palm Beach and Miami Art Gallery include one of the last known photographs of John Lennon and Paul McCartney together as well as the only photo of John Lennon signing the contract to legally break up the Beatles partnership which was taken at Walt Disney World at the Polynesian Resort.
"These photographs of John represent the John that I knew and loved. They aren't posed. They are John through my eyes, funny, relaxed, and happy," said Pang.
