Space travel and art enthusiasts packed R House Wynwood at the Space for Art Foundation's Space-Art-Healing event, curated by JonLouis Gonzalez, on Sept. 19, which featured special guest Nicole Stott, a retired NASA astronaut whose experience includes two space flights and 104 days working and living in space, and the first to paint a watercolor in space. Also om hand was the "Exploration" art space suit, a global project created from the artwork from children in 45 countries and quilted together by spacesuit company ILCDover. The evening also featured a performance by the Dy. Clan Dance Studios, virtual reality (VR) demonstrations, and the unveiling of the "SkySpace," an interactive art display created by ABlok Interactive.
