Each month, a new artist is showcased, offering visitors an expansive introduction to our vibrant city's diverse array of artistry. Noche de Arte is open to the public and free to attend. About the Artist
Rebecca White is an artist based in Miami, Florida. Her work often speaks to events that have societal relevance, centering the impact these occurrences have on our collective human spirit. While she works in diverse applications, including painting, mixed-media, and sculpture, the conceptual underpinnings of her work frequently connect to mythologies, practices of working with energy and communication with the unseen, and esoteric notions such as alchemy and imagined languages.

A groundbreaking exhibition celebrating African American art will run from January 24 through March 28, 2025. The exhibit features powerful and thought-provoking works by local and national artists and explores the complex narrative of African American culture, identity and history, providing a platform for artists to share their voices and stories. The public is invited to a free opening reception on January 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Contemporary Art Modern Project is pleased to welcome March with two new exhibitions and an online exclusive running simultaneously from March 7–April 4, 2025. The gallery will be hosting an opening reception for all in-gallery exhibitions on March 7, 2025 in our North Miami gallery from 6:00–9:00 PM.

In CAMP’s incubator space, Jan Brandt’s solo exhibition, Between Stillness and Growth, explores the tension between bloom and decay through Brandt’s signature use of playful, tactile materials like puffy paint and glitter. Her Hothouse series navigates the fluid boundary between representation and abstraction, creating compositions that pulse with kinetic energy while incorporating moments of stillness. These textures and compositions invite viewers to pause, reflect, and embrace life’s rhythms, offering both a reflection on transition and an exploration of the cycle between chaos and calm.

The Contemporary Art Modern Project (The CAMP Gallery)
The Contemporary Art Modern Project Gallery specializes is a contemporary art gallery dedicated to raising awareness for emerging and mid-career artists with a unique emphasis on ultra-contemporary approaches to textiles and fiber art. Founded during the height of the pandemic by Melanie Prapopoulos, the gallery has gone on to create a distinctly academic and thought-provoking arts program in North Miami, and beyond. As a gallery, The CAMP remains steadfast in transparency both for the artist and for the collector, building bridges and connections from creation to acquisition. With a robust local and international roster, the gallery represents artists working in textiles and fiber, painting, photography, sculpture, and installation. Looking at art, as a whole, through a reactionary and interdisciplinary approach, the gallery operates as a space wherein creativity and reality co-exist.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, a lush, historic oasis nestled in the heart of West Palm Beach, this exhibition offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience Katz's iconic art in a setting where natural beauty and artistic excellence converge. The Gardens, once the private residence of renowned sculptor Ann Norton, now serve as a cultural landmark dedicated to preserving her artistic legacy while hosting world-class exhibitions like ALEX KATZ: Portraits and Landscapes - Through the Seasons.

Renowned for his minimalist approach, Katz emerged during the 1950s as a counterpoint to the gestural dynamism of Abstract Expressionism. His signature style distills time and space into visually arresting compositions that balance flatness with emotional depth. Influenced by cinematic storytelling and the aesthetics of advertising, Katz's art transcends Pop Art conventions, emphasizing clarity, balance, and personal narrative. Recurring subjects, such as his muse Ada Katz, take center stage in works like Large Black Hat (Ada) and Ariel (B&W), exploring themes of identity and presence with striking simplicity.

The exhibition further delves into Katz's profound engagement with nature's rhythms. His Autumn and Spring series, with their abstracted depictions of leaves and budding branches, capture the ephemeral beauty of seasonal change. These works, alongside floral masterpieces such as Purple Irises on Red and Yellow Flags on White, underscore Katz's ability to merge fleeting natural beauty with the enduring precision of printmaking techniques.

As Katz approaches his centennial, this exhibition stands as a powerful testament to his continued influence on the art world. His reductive methodology transforms everyday moments into monumental visual essays, emphasizing elegance, simplicity, and human connection.

Arendt is a Professor of Visual Arts at Coastal Carolina University. He received his BFA from Kendall College of Art & Design and his MFA from the University of South Carolina. He has participated in residency programs including The Fields Project in Illinois, Arrowmont’s Tactility Forum, and From Waste to Art VI in Baku, Azerbaijan. Arendt received First Prize during In the Round: UNC Asheville’s 1st Biennial Outdoor Sculpture Competition, Fiberarts International 2019, was short-listed for The 1858 Prize for Contemporary Southern Art and a 2018 finalist for the Elizabeth R. Raphael Founder’s Prize, Society for Contemporary Craft, Pittsburgh, PA. He has received the South Carolina Arts Commission Visual Artist Fellowship 2014 and his work received top prize at ArtFields 2013. His work was chosen for the 2013 Museum Rijswijk Textile Biennial, Netherlands, and he has work included in the Arkansas Art Center’s permanent collection of contemporary craft.

The Rosemary Duffy Larson Gallery is a museum-quality venue where artists from around the world come to exhibit thought-provoking contemporary artworks.
