Wednesday, Feb 5, 2025 at 6:00 PM - English

Awkward Dinner: Exploring Caribbean Legacy and Identity with South Florida People of Color.

A dinner conversation exploring identity, heritage, and shared experiences through the lens of Andrea Chung’s work.

Don't miss Awkward Dinner: Exploring Caribbean Legacy and Identity on February 5 at 6:30 PM! There are a few seats remaining.

In this partnership with South Florida People of Color, we invite you to enjoy a curated tour of Chung’s exhibition, a catered meal, and a facilitated discussion where guests are invited to challenge social norms, unlearn biases, and embrace uncomfortable conversations. Join us as we reflect on cultural identity, heritage, and the enduring impact of history on our shared experiences.

Since 2015, South Florida People of Color has been weaving connections across communities, building bridges of understanding, and amplifying voices that have long gone unheard. What began as a grassroots movement for equitable representation has grown into a dynamic force for systemic change across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. This Awkward Dinner series fosters meaningful connections, inspiring dialogue, and shared growth to create a more inclusive and equitable South Florida.
