Broadway Babes

Miami

Sitting Pretty

Can you get anymore Broadway than this shot? Here’s Richard Jay Alexander, a director, producer, performer and stage director whose Broadway credits include Five Guys Named Moe, Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Song and Dance, Oliver!, and Amadeus, with Joy Abbott, a jazz singer and widow of George Abbott, the man who was known as Mister Broadway and whose eight decade career included Damn Yankees, Sweet Charity, The Pajama Game, Once Upon a Mattress, Wonderful Town, On the Town and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. This shot was snapped at the opening night of Forbidden Broadway, which spoofs some of the very shows they were involved with. Ah, the bright lights of Broadway sparkle even in Miami.
