National Jazz Day on Miami Beach
National Jazz Day hits Miami Beach this Friday, April 13, when the good folks at the Miami Beach Cultural Affairs Department give you a free concert in Collins Park.
Produced by KCC productions, the four hour show features the Dave Siegel Sextet, Troy Roberts' Nu Jive, the LeNard Rutledge Quartet and the Alfredo Chacon Groove.
You can hear it all on the grass at the park: standards, classic jazz, bebop, neo-soul, nu-jive, Latin, funk and bossa. And some stuff you probably never heard of. So grab your best girl, your sadldle shoes and deck chairs and hit the park at Collins and 22nd Street at four on Friday afternoon. You'll be swinging.
