FLIFF Poster Unveiling Party
Marriott Courtyard on Fort Lauderdale Beach

Hot Shot

The sultry South Florida breeze wafted across the party guests at the Courtyard Marriott along Fort Lauderdale Beach last Thursday night, the perfect weather for, well, just about anything. It was the surely the perfect way for the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival to launch their 24th year of bringing cool films to hot South Florida. As the assembled guests enjoyed seafood jumbo and blackened grouper, the official FLIFF poster was unveiled—a black and white image right out of Hollywood’s celluloid past, recreated for the present by photographer Peter Langone and creative director Beth Fiore, seen here with Madalina Levay on the right. FLIFF, usually billed as the longest film festival in the world, runs 20 days this year, from October 23 through November 11. For film lovers, it’s definitely the place to be.
